Western Technology Center strives to provide students with all the necessary resources to become successful. Many programs are available to students to help them achieve their goals.
ACADEMIC CENTER
The Academic Center is designed to meet individualized needs of students. Students receive individual remediation, academic integration, and accelerated skills to prepare for future job markets. The Academic Center facilitates the online KeyTrain training for all WTC students and provides opportunities for students to take the WorkKey assessments where the Career Readiness Certifications can be earned. ASSESSMENT
Students are administered assessment instruments such as interest inventories, aptitude tests, and achievement tests to provide guidance in program selection and placement, career counseling, and necessary academic enhancement. CAREER RESOURCES
This service provides students with employment opportunity information, résumé writing, interviewing techniques, job readiness, portfolio development, and job search skills. Additionally, students can gain college credit for courses taken at WTC. ENROLLMENT
Daytime enrollment is open to both adults and high school students; however, some programs are limited to adult enrollment. Class hours are 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
How do I enroll in a day-time program?
High School Students: Prior to enrollment, students should visit with their home school counselor and/or principal and parent(s)/guardian. Enrollment choice should be based on assessed interests, achievement, and abilities in reaching one's career objectives.
Adults: Adults may enroll in daytime programs on a first-come, first-serve basis. To enroll,

FINANCIAL AID
The staff at Western Technology Center believes that vocational education should be available to all individuals who have a true desire to obtain a job skill. We invite you to explore your financial aid possibilities with us. Financial Aid is available to qualifying adult students enrolled in daytime programs. GUIDANCE COUNSELING
Staff members provide students with information on career options, advise them on appropriate educational paths to meet their career goals, and provide them with the necessary support for success in their programs. STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
At Western Technology Center, you have the opportunity to be involved in many different student organizations. Depending upon your chosen path or career major, you can become involved in organizations directly related to what you choose to study. WTC encourages you to participate in one or multiple organizations, but participation is not mandatory. However, participation in such organizations gives you the opportunity to become involved and meet other students with the same career goals. More student organization information.
TUITION
Tuition is $2.00 per clock hour. Books and other fees, such as student organization fees, uniforms, etc., are program specific.
