COURSES OFFERED
Fall Semester
AP Calculus BC I: This course covers properties and applications of functions, limits, derivatives and integrals.  Instruction of calculus concepts will be presented through multiple approaches including numerical, graphical, analytical and verbal methods. Graphing calculators and computer software are used throughout the course to gain conceptual understanding. The topics covered will be similar to typical College Calculus I courses.

General Physics: This course introduces students to classical concepts of physics (motion, electromagnetism, sound and light) and lays the foundation for calculus-based physics courses.  Class time aims to promote an active learning environment.  Laboratory included.

Spring Semester
AP Calculus BC II: This course covers topics such as additional methods of differentiation and integration, infinite series, polynomial approximations and series, calculus for polar equations, parametric equations and vector valued functions. The topics covered will be similar to typical College Calculus II courses with some College Calculus III topics included.

AP Physics C: This course is calculus-based. The emphasis of this course is on developing students' problem solving skills and on improving their lab techniques. Completion of the course prepares students for the Mechanics part of the AP Physics C exam.

To complete the OSSM/WTC program, students must complete all four courses.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND OSSM AT WTC?
There are many reasons to attend OSSM/WTC. OSSM/WTC allows students to take advantage of the rigorous OSSM curriculum without having to move to Oklahoma City. Students who attend OSSM/WTC gain valuable study skills, interact with like-minded peers, and become associated with the stellar reputation of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. Students can also earn college credit for calculus I and II as well as Physics C, which saves on tuition and can help students graduate early.
